Gagan Singla is a Managing Director in JM Financial Services, currently leading the charge to build BlinkX – the digital broking business.
Gagan is an IIT Computer Science Graduate and holds an MBA from IIM. He has authored several global research publications and has been a speaker at many US universities including the University of California at Berkeley, University of Indianapolis and University of Notre Dame, IIMs, IITs and more. He has been deeply engaged with multiple FinTech initiatives as a mentor and investment committee member. He was ranked Top 5 in YourStory's Emerging Voices of 2018
Prior to JM Financial, he was the head of the digital business for HDFC Securities, where he is working on end-to-end business set-up and launching a separate brand also. Previously, as a board member and Director at Angel Broking, Gagan was leading the transformation of the company from a traditional securities company to digital broking house including multiplier growth with a highly successful outcome.
During his eCommerce stints, he was the Global CMO of EdTech company SimpliLearn, which was much ahead of its times in 2014. During his tenure the company achieved 100Cr+ revenue with profitability. Prior to that, Gagan headed digital marketing and brand marketing spends with focus on ROI for Quikr.com – handling planning of 250 Cr+ budget and a billion page-views traffic.
Earlier he has worked with PwC Global Analytics in NYC and Mumbai, with Deloitte Analytics Solutions in San Jose in Silicon Valley and also across 10 other countries for complex business transformation assignments with data, technology, consumer and analytics as central theme.
Gagan’s skills are diverse across industries and geographies – but specifically, in securities industry, he has lead digital acquisition at scale, large digital tele-sales operations with optimization, full online consumer journey flows, digital engagement with focus on activation, ARPU and lifetime value, building transaction platforms for mass consumers like new age trading apps and portals, acquisition websites, content engagement ecosystems and other similar digital assets.
