Mr. Anish Damania is an accomplished leader in India’s capital markets, currently serving as the Managing Director – Group Relationships at JM Financial Ltd, a role he assumed in March 2025. In this capacity, he oversees the firm’s most pivotal corporate relationships and spearheads its strategic international outreach. Tasked with deepening JM Financial’s presence beyond domestic borders, he brings a visionary perspective to bridging global capital and Indian enterprises.

Before ascending to this group leadership role, Mr. Damania was the MD & CEO of JM Financial Institutional Securities Ltd, where he led the institutional equities and capital markets franchise with remarkable finesse. During this role, he led all the equity capital market transactions, including IPOs, QIPs, and block deals, fortifying group’s reputation for excellence in execution. JM Financial was the No1 ECM bank in FY24.

An illustrious career spanning more than three decades has shaped Mr. Damania into a revered voice in equity research and capital markets. Prior to his tenure at JM Financial, he served as CEO of IDFC Securities, directing institutional strategies, investment research, sales and sales trading. Earlier stints include leadership roles at Emkay Global Financial Services, Refco, HSBC Securities, Jardine Fleming, and a foundation in fund management with SBI Mutual Fund. This diverse experience reflects his versatility and deep domain expertise.

Mr. Damania is not just a seasoned practitioner; he is also a distinguished professional. A rank holder Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India he also holds qualifications from Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretary of India.
